We are all missing social connections during this lockdown, so I organised a ‘ZOOM morning tea’ with my sashiko class participants. We all enjoyed being able to meet and talk about what we are doing, and where we are at with our sashiko project. I will organise another morning tea again for my sashiko class, and I am also planning to organise one for our St James Rail travel friends as well.

The ‘Stay at home’ order is now extended until Friday 30th July 2021 in Sydney. My sashiko class needs to be postponed again, maybe for a while. It is sad but I decided to offer to post the materials to our students so they can have a stimulating and enjoyable time at home during this lockdown. Are you interested in joining us? You are always welcome!

“Sold out | sashiko product in Cowra Japanese Garden 2020.11.17” の続きを読むGreetings from Takako
My name is Takako.
I was born and grew up in Japan, in the foothills of Mt Fuji, and currently live in Sydney, Australia.
My husband and I operate a boutique travel service, both organising and leading small groups, and providing a self-guided tour service, to destinations around Australia, Japan and the world.
I have been interested in overseas travel since my early days, and having traveled widely around the world, I have developed a deeper interest in my own country Japan, especially Japanese crafts.
In this blog, I am going to write about Japan, Japanese craft and what I have seen and thought when travelling the world.
Between tours I organise Sashiko Classes, where you can experience the Japanese traditional stitching. I am pleased that my class can provide an opportunity to meet people and build friendships.
